ZipperWorks are so unusual and unexpected, they have been called funky and unbelievable. The reflective quality of the metallic zippers produces varying effects in different lighting conditions. The zipper art shimmers in daylight and appears more colorful in evening shadows. Described as eye candy for the fingers, ZipperWorks, like braille, are made to be touched.
The framed artwork for sale here make perfect gifts for environmentally responsible individuals and those seeking the ultimate conversation piece. ZipperWorks currently adorn the walls and coffee tables of progressive corporate offices, hospitals, schools, and of course, the homes of North America's most ardent collectors of found or green art.
All the pieces were photographed in bright outdoor light to ensure true colors and a clear view of the textures created by the combination of different types and sizes of zipper teeth.
